Based on my experience of a decade as a tarot reader, tarot is not just psychology or blind prediction; it is somewhere in between. Despite being in a stable position (Nine of Pentacles) there was already an imbalance of giving and receiving (Six of Pentacles). The Ace of Swords pointed to finding clarity in financial decision making. He subsequently realized despite being profitable, he was underpricing his products which he later corrected.

6. Are yes or no tarot readings reliable?

Yes or no tarot works very well with clearly framed questions and simple situations. Having said that, if the querent is feeling emotionally unstable and needs a deeper insight, Yes or No Tarot may not provide the insights that could actually guide the person and steer him forward.

In one of my readings the person asked me about whether he should stay in a stressful job. I pulled out the Ten of Pentacles yes or no card, and pulled out one additional card (The Tower tarot card) for advice. The Ten of Pentacles was clearly a yes card, which meant that he should continue staying in the job, with the advice that he needed a fundamental shift in the way he approached work or his team to make his job more sustainable and lucrative.

7. If tarot isn’t absolute, what is its real purpose?

What I like best about tarot is that it is not absolute. It leaves room for free will. Think of tarot as being directional. Think of it as the universe showing you a way and giving you some advice. If future was absolute, what is the point of living? Agree?
